Marco Ivan Andrade comes from a family of cobblers — skilled craftsman (and craftswoman) who are meticulous about every detail of their work.

His grandfather, Cesar Andrade, opened the first shoe repair shop in 1945. Over 70 years ago, his little shop named “Cosedora La Española" sat in the middle of a popular plaza in Quito, Ecuador called “La Plaza del Teatro”. Fifty years later, Marco Ivan’s father, Marco E. Andrade (in the picture on the left), proudly opened his first shoe repair shop in Manhattan, New York in 1995.

Marco Ivan carries this craftsmanship and the legacy of the Andrade family forward as a third generation small business owner. In April of 2019, Marco Ivan opened his first shoe repair studio in New Jersey. All Andrade Shoe Repair shops have been exclusively located across New York City.

We are excited to bring the first Andrade Shoe Repair Studio to New Jersey and are grateful to Mayor Michael Wildes and his wife, Mrs. Amy Messer Wildes, along with the Englewood Chamber of Commerce for warmly welcoming us to the mighty business community in Englewood, NJ.
